「Bad Brads BBQ」
What a nice surprise! While traveling to Canterbury village, we passed Bad Brads BBQ in Orion Charter Township and decided to check google for reviews.
Having 461 reviews and 4.4 stars, we decided to stop for dinner before continuing on our journey.
The fire design and big BBQ sign in front of the restaurant is definitely an eye catcher.
How the restaurant looks from the outside.
The particular design around the side of the building gives a “metallic zig-zag” feel which adds to the uniqueness of the restaurant.
They were voting for the best pumpkin head design for Halloween. We liked the Mickey Mouse design in the middle.
In front of the entrance door, you can see a cool looking pig made out of many types of metal.
The interior of the restaurant was vibrant and shared the similar “zig-zag” feeling. Definitely a popular place to have BBQ with family and friends.
You can see the inside of the kitchen where the food gets prepared. The wood counter and brick interior is a great addition to the energetic atmosphere.

The full slab of St. Louis Style of Ribs was $27.95 which was a little higher than some of the other BBQ places we went to that served Ribs. Generally all plates looked slightly higher in pricing.
Nice cold selection of Draft Beer is always a joy! Unfortunately, we decided to pass on the drinks this night.
Great selection of cocktails for those who want to try something other than beer.
For the main entrée!!! If you want your meats to slide right off the bone, crispy outside but tender and juicy on the inside.. look no further! This definitely hit the spot 100%.
Although the rib itself was really good, for those who want to spice things up a bit, you can choose 4 different types of sauces.
- ３２１（combination of spicy, sour and sweet sauce so all-in-one type)
- Spicy
- Sour
- Sweet
You can also ask for Sweet Mustard and Spicier sauce which they have it refrigerated so it’s nice and cold.
F/C tip : Add Spicier sauce to 321 sauce (3:7) and for those who wants an extra kick!
You get two sides and for those who want to try both potato salad and bbq baked beans , make sure to get half/half order.
The pickled cucumber for our other side dish definitely balanced the meal with some extra sourness.
Here is a little something for everyone. We were not kidding when we said “the meat slides off the bone”
